Washington, D.C. – Congressman Andy Harris M.D. (MD-01) released the following statement following his Yes vote on the Limit, Save, and Grow Act of 2023 which passed in the House of Representatives today by a 217-215 vote.
The Limit, Save, and Grow Act of 2023 returns current spending levels for FY24 to FY22 pre-pandemic levels and allows for 1% annual growth over the next 10 years. Notably, this piece of legislation will cut spending by:
A recent Harvard/Harris Poll showed that 63% of voters want Congress to raise the debt limit only with restraints on future spending. Congressman Harris Statement: “Our Country is on a fiscal cliff and although I have never voted for a debt ceiling increase in my time as Congressman; today, I voted to raise our nation’s debt ceiling with serious spending cuts attached.
