On August 1, 2025, Harris praised a recent decision by the Trump administration, stating: "A great move by the Trump administration which will protect coastal communities and taxpayers from risky, foreign-controlled projects".
Later that day, he commented on new legislation affecting seniors' finances: "The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers meaningful tax relief for seniors, ensuring they keep more of their retirement income. Seniors have spent their lives working and paying into the system; they deserve to keep more of what they’ve earned."

Born in New York City in 1957 and currently residing in Cambridge, Harris holds a BS degree from Johns Hopkins University.
