Hartford County Bureau of Highways recently issued the following announcement.
Hundreds of volunteers are uniting at this annual event, now in its fourth year, to help hundreds of families and individuals experiencing homelessness obtain critical resources and services to help put them back on the path to a stable life. The event offers guests access to a wide range of services all in one place: the APGFCU Arena.
Project Homeless Connect volunteers will work one-on-one with guests to help them identify and secure needed services, or are assigned to help as needed throughout the event. Lunch is provided for all volunteers and parking is free. Volunteers will receive more information about parking and check-in as the event nears.
You can make our fight against homelessness stronger by asking a friend, coworker, family member or neighbor to volunteer with you to make an even bigger impact on this critical social issue. United, we can win the fight against homelessness.
