Town of Bel Air Finance Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
The Town of Bel Air is accepting applications for the position of Crossing Guard in the Bel Air Police Department. A Crossing Guard guides or controls vehicular or pedestrian traffic at such places as streets, schools, or construction sites. An employee in this position is under the direct supervision of the Traffic Unit Supervisor. The employee must act in a mature and responsible manner and courteously facilitate the safe passage of adult pedestrians and children at crosswalks. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM and again from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, five days a week, during the school year. The successful candidate must be capable of furnishing his/her own transportation to the Police Department for sign-in and sign-out, and to the crossing site.
Qualified applicants must pass a background investigation, physical, and drug test. EOE
