City of Aberdeen issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
If you've been downtown within the past week, you may notice a few additional features. We're excited to announce the addition of our new eagle statue, gazebo and Heritage Trust clock!
Eagle Statue: Located in Festival Park, the new statue features a bronzed finished eagle mounted on a granite base. A beautiful addition to our Park, the eagle can be found near the APG Workers Memorial.
Heritage Trust Clock: The next time you are passing by, be sure to look out for the new addition in front of City Hall. A vintage inspired engraved clock at the corner of the Police Department and City Hall. Donated by the Aberdeen Heritage Trust, the clock has “Aberdeen” engraved on the top and lights up at night.
Gazebo: On beautiful days, we encourage you to grab a book from the library, and bring it over to the new gazebo located across from Festival Park. Nestled under shade trees, the gazebo features covered bench seating and a great view of the Park.
