Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 1st district since 2011, recently shared updates on his activities and views via social media. His posts covered a range of topics from honoring law enforcement officers to addressing concerns about Medicaid fraud.

On May 15, Rep. Harris expressed his appreciation for law enforcement during National Police Week. He tweeted, "Honored to welcome Sheriff Baker and members of the Caroline County Sheriffs Office to Washington. During National Police Week, I am proud to honor the heroes who protect and serve our communities."

Later that day, he addressed issues related to Medicaid fraud. In a tweet posted on May 15 at 23:30 UTC, he stated, "One million people have committed fraud against the Medicaid program by being enrolled in two states." He also criticized Democratic lawmakers for their stance on this issue: "All the Democrats voted against eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicaid program."

On May 16, Rep. Harris informed his followers about upcoming media appearances. He announced, "Coming up on the following shows: @RealAmVoice @ 8:05am @WGMDRadio @ 8:15am Tune in if you can!"

Rep. Andy Harris has served in Congress since replacing Frank Kratovil in 2011 after serving in Maryland's state legislature from 1999 to 2011.
