Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 1st district since 2011, has made several recent posts on social media aligning with his position. His posts touch on topics such as expressing support for colleagues, Easter celebrations, and criticism of Maryland Democrats.

On April 18, 2025, Rep. Andy Harris requested support for a fellow congressman in a tweet urging, "Please join me in lifting up @RepAndyBiggsAZ and his family in prayer. May they find comfort, strength, and peace in this difficult time."

In a post dated April 20, 2025, Rep. Harris shared a religious message in celebration of Easter. He referenced a biblical quote by stating, "He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:6-7 Wishing you a Blessed Easter."

Later the same day, Rep. Harris criticized the stance of Maryland Democrats toward state policies, particularly on immigration issues. He wrote, "How many Angel Moms and Dads has he met in the state of Maryland? ZERO. Maryland Democrats prioritize the rights of criminal illegals over the safety of everyone else in the state. The whole country can see it now."

Rep. Harris has represented Maryland in Congress since 2011, following his predecessor Frank Kratovil. His political career began in the Maryland Senate, where he served from 1999 to 2011. Born in New York City, Harris currently resides in Cambridge and is a Johns Hopkins University alumnus.
