Rep. Andy Harris, currently serving Maryland's 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed an issue concerning election integrity through a series of social media posts. A longstanding member of Congress since 2011 and with a background in both medicine and politics, Harris engages in topics significant to his constituents and beyond.

On March 31, 2025, Rep. Harris shared a video link discussing the SAVE Act, legislation aimed at closing existing loopholes that allow noncitizens to vote. Harris emphasized, "Only American citizens should vote in American elections. The majority of Americans agree."

Later that day, Harris reiterated his stance on election security. Speaking to the Daily Signal, he highlighted the importance of secure elections, stating, "Secure elections are a cornerstone in maintaining any democracy. The fact of the matter is, certain states are exploiting loopholes to allow noncitizen voting in our federal elections."

On April 1, 2025, further engagement on this topic was announced by Rep. Harris. He informed his audience of an upcoming discussion on the Larry O'Connor show, expressing the need to talk about the SAVE Act among other subjects. Harris invited listeners to join the conversation, saying, "Coming up on the @LarryOConnor @WMALDC show to talk about the SAVE Act and much more. 7:05am. Tune in if you can!"
