On March 7, 2025, Rep. Andy Harris emphasized the responsibility of Congress to maintain government operations. He stated, "The role Congress has to play is to keep the government open so that DOGE can continue to operate and find the areas of waste, fraud and abuse once they have gone through the government."
Later that day, Harris expressed criticism towards liberal policies with a brief statement posted online: "Rep. Andy Harris Blasts The LIBS!!!"
In another post from March 7, 2025, Rep. Harris criticized Democratic leadership in Maryland for their financial management strategies. He remarked, "It’s absolutely absurd that the Democrat-controlled Maryland General Assembly and Governor are trying to pin the blame for their disastrous state finances on President Trump. This is classic Democrat misdirection—create a mess, then point fingers at anyone but themselves."
