Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 1st district, has been active on social media with several posts regarding recent events and announcements. Born in New York City in 1957 and residing in Cambridge, Harris has served in Congress since 2011 after replacing Frank Kratovil.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Andy Harris shared his thoughts on a recent legal outcome involving New York prosecutor Alvin Bragg. He described it as "Another embarrassment for New York prosecutor Alvin Bragg as jury finds hero Daniel Penny not guilty."

In another post on the same day, Harris relayed information from the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration about a public input initiative to redefine the MARC system. A virtual public meeting will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 6:30-8:00 p.m."
