Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 1st district since 2011, shared several tweets on December 6, 2024, addressing various issues from health research to education and media appearances.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Harris highlighted new research from Washington University that suggests high fructose corn syrup can promote tumor growth. He stated: "New research from Washington University shows that high fructose corn syrup can promote tumor growth. Another reason we should limit non-nutritious high fructose corn syrup sodas and foods from the food stamp (SNAP) program."

Later that day, he announced an upcoming appearance on Newsmax's "Wake Up America," inviting followers to tune in at 8:10 am: "Coming up on @NEWSMAX 'Wake Up America.' 8:10am Tune in if you can!"

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Harris addressed concerns about the U.S. education system's global competitiveness.
