Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 1st district since 2011, recently shared his views on social media regarding the legalization of marijuana and educational reform in America. Harris, who succeeded Frank Kratovil in Congress and previously served in the Maryland Senate from 1999 to 2011, voiced concerns over current policies.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Andy Harris expressed skepticism about the legalization of marijuana without further research. He stated, "Another reason legalizing marijuana is a bad idea without more research…."

In another post on the same day, Harris addressed issues within the American education system. He argued against maintaining existing conditions in failing schools and advocated for funding students rather than systems. His statement read: "We cannot tolerate the status quo with failing schools... We must fund Students NOT Systems."

Additionally, he posted a link without accompanying text at 19:41:23 UTC on December 5, 2024.
