Liriodendron Foundation issued the following announcement.
In celebration of Maryland’s deep and rich history of cooperation with Estonia, the Liriodendron Foundation is proud to present “Relationships” - the first ever international art exhibit to be held at the historic Liriodendron mansion. The exhibit features paintings, drawings, sculptures, and textiles from artists in Bel Air’s sister city, Narva, Estonia, along with a photo exhibit and silent film depicting life in Estonia in the early 1900s.
The opening reception will feature honored speakers and guests and will include free refreshments.
The exhibit will be open every Wednesday from 1 to 7 pm and every Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Additional events highlighting Estonian history and culture, and Maryland’s unique relationship with the country, will occur in September and October. Offerings will include film screenings, a lecture, and traditional music and dance performances.
