Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 1st district since 2011, has been vocal on various national issues through his social media presence. On March 19, 2025, he shared his views on healthcare funding and economic policies under President Trump.

In a tweet dated March 19, 2025, Rep. Harris expressed his opposition to allocating taxpayer money to hospitals with sufficient funds for what he termed as "nonsense." "We have to stop sending any hard-earned American taxpayer dollars to any hospital that has enough money to spend for such nonsense."

Later that day, Harris praised the economic improvements during President Trump's tenure in another tweet. He noted reductions in inflation, gas prices, egg prices, and illegal border crossings. "Since President Trump Took Office: Inflation is DOWN Gas prices are DOWN Egg prices are DOWN Illegal border crossings are DOWN President Trump is getting our country & economy back on track."

On the same day at 20:02 UTC, Rep. Harris highlighted the decrease in Guatemalan migrants attempting to cross the southern U.S. border over a year-long period as evidence of President Trump's commitment to securing national borders. “A year ago in February, more than 23,000 Guatemalans made a run at the southern border. Last month, agents reported fewer than 1,500.” He emphasized this point by stating that "President Trump is keeping his promise to secure our border."
