Harford Community College issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
A wonderful opportunity for students at Achieving the Dream (ATD) institutions, of which Harford Community College is one, to become 2019 DREAM Scholars is now available. The opportunity is a year-long learning experience that culminates in the Scholars’ participation in ATD’s annual DREAM conference in Long Beach, California from February 19 to 22, 2019.”
Up to eight student leaders who wish to make a difference on their campuses and in their communities will be selected to take part in ATD’s year-long learning experience. Achieving the Dream will cover virtually all of the students’ costs, so financial concerns shouldn’t stop students from pursuing this opportunity.
DREAM Scholars from previous years have found the experience exhilarating and inspiring. You can read about the most recent cohort of DREAM Scholars here.
