A section of St. Clair Bridge Road in Jarrettsville reopened to all through traffic at 3 p.m. on April 7, following the completion of detailed engineering assessments on the bridge piers over Deer Creek.

The reopening comes after officials gathered data that will be used to design a replacement structure for the bridge in the future. The affected stretch was between Holy Cross Road and North Bend Road.

Officials said that these assessments are an important step toward ensuring long-term safety and reliability for motorists using this route.

Residents or drivers with questions about the closure or future plans can contact county officials at 410-638-3509 extension 1392.

The reopening of St. Clair Bridge Road is part of ongoing infrastructure work in Harford County, which has recently included other road improvements and safety initiatives.
