Rep. Andy Harris, MD, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland’s 1st district since 2011, has made several statements on social media regarding current political issues and President Trump’s actions. These statements reflect his perspectives on illegal border crossings, foreign aid to Ukraine, and the fentanyl crisis in the United States.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Harris noted a significant decrease in illegal border crossings for February, describing it as “the lowest in decades.” He attributed this achievement to President Trump’s efforts at the Southern Border and called on Congress to support these actions by providing necessary resources. “RESULTS: February saw the lowest illegal border crossings in decades.”

Later that day, Harris commented on foreign aid to Ukraine during an appearance on the Dan Bongino show. He criticized President Zelenskyy for expecting aid without conditions and highlighted President Trump’s different approach to handling such matters. “I guess President Zelenskyy is used to just getting everything with no strings attached.”

In another post on March 3rd, Harris addressed the fentanyl crisis in America, stating that it is currently the leading cause of death for individuals aged 18-45. He emphasized President Trump’s decisive measures to curb the influx of these drugs into the country. “Fentanyl is the #1 cause of death for 18-45 year olds.”
