Rep. Andy Harris, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Maryland’s 1st district, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts on November 18 and 19, 2025, criticizing members of Congress and the federal judiciary.

On November 18, Harris appeared on Fox News and questioned the impartiality of Judge Boasberg. He stated, “It absolutely should be done. I think this is levels above what we thought was going on. His {Judge Boasberg’s) bias is pretty clear, someone with that kind of bias cannot exist in the federal judiciary.”

Later that day, Harris commented on actions within the House of Representatives, saying, “I think she needs to be censured by the House and removed from the [House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence] for colluding with a convicted felon during a congressional hearing. That does not reflect well on the House of Representatives.”

On November 19, Harris referenced allegations involving Stacey Plaskett, a territorial delegate from the Democratic Party. He wrote, “They [Democrats] have got a little explaining to do with the revelation that one of their territorial delegates, [Stacey] Plaskett, was texting with Mr. Epstein during a congressional hearing back in 2019. Basically, she was asking the questions that he was texting to her.”

Harris has represented Maryland’s 1st District in Congress since 2011 after replacing Frank Kratovil. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of Maryland’s state legislature from 1999 to 2011. Born in New York City in 1957 and now residing in Cambridge, Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University.
