Rep. Andy Harris, who represents Maryland’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his social media account regarding upcoming events and media appearances.

On October 30, 2025, Harris announced an event organized by members of Congress: “Tomorrow at 8PM, the @freedomcaucus and @FRCdc will host a national prayer call. Members of Congress will pray for an end to political violence, our President and leaders, the work of Congress, and our nation.” The post included a link for those interested in participating.

Shortly after, he provided registration details for the event: “Register to join us here: https://t.co/K1KVOz3UB8”.

Later that morning, Harris shared information about an upcoming television appearance: ” Coming up on @MorningsMaria around 6:20AM. Tune in.”

Harris has served as the representative for Maryland’s 1st district since 2011, following his tenure in both the Maryland House of Representatives and the Maryland Senate from 1999 to 2011. He was born in New York City in 1957 and currently resides in Cambridge. Harris earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1977.
