On March 23, 2026, Harris criticized Maryland Democrats for their stance on Department of Homeland Security funding. He stated: “Every single Maryland Democrat voted AGAINST funding the Department of Homeland Security. Now BWI travelers are stuck in hours-long security lines. This is what happens when Democrats put illegal aliens first.”
The following day, Harris commented on public safety and federal aid in Baltimore: “This is too bad for law-abiding Baltimoreans. It’s why residents are fleeing the City.
