The Harford County Southern County Taskforce will hold a community meeting on May 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Edgewood Recreation Center, according to a May 9 announcement.

The meeting aims to give residents in southern Harford County an opportunity to provide input and receive updates about the taskforce’s activities. The event is open to all members of the public interested in issues affecting areas south of Interstate 95 that are not within municipal boundaries.

County Executive Bob Cassilly said, “My administration is committed to making all of Harford County the best it can be. I encourage residents to come out, provide their input, and hear updates on taskforce activities.”

Cassilly established the Southern County Taskforce in March 2023 with a focus on coordinating county efforts and addressing unique opportunities and challenges specific to southern Harford communities.

Residents seeking more information about the taskforce or details about the upcoming meeting are encouraged to contact Maxwell Service, Southern County Taskforce coordinator, by phone at 410-638-3045 ext. 1244 or by email at mservice@harfordcountymd.gov.

Looking ahead, organizers expect continued engagement between county officials and residents as they work together on local priorities.
