On February 13, 2025, Rep. Andy Harris expressed concern over the increasing rates of childhood diabetes and obesity in the United States. He stated that “A generation ago, it was rare for a physician to treat a case of childhood diabetes. Today, 30% of teens have pre-diabetes.” He further commented on adult obesity rates by saying that “the United States has witnessed historic and escalating rates of obesity,” highlighting that “America is getting sicker.”
On February 14, 2025, he posted a personal message celebrating Valentine’s Day with his wife Nicole: “Happy Valentine’s Day to my beautiful wife, Nicole.“
