Rep. Andy Harris, who represents Maryland’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing national politics, ongoing government negotiations, and his upcoming media appearances.
On October 13, 2025, Harris commented on the actions of the sitting U.S. President, stating, “This President didn’t bow to terrorists. He stood firm, freed the hostages, and repositioned the U.S. back where it belongs as the leader of the free world. @NEWSMAX https://t.co/fb4KfrcqHM”.
The following morning, Harris promoted a live appearance on the radio, posting on October 14, 2025: “Coming up live this morning with @LarryOConnor and @WCBM680. 7:35 8:00 Tune in!”.
Later that day, Harris addressed the ongoing government shutdown negotiations and criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. In his October 14, 2025 post, Harris wrote, “Earlier this week, I was optimistic we could resolve the shutdown. But when Chuck Schumer said, ‘Every day gets better for us,’ it became clear this is about politics, not solutions. https://t.co/KgDgRQUIR4”.
