Clark’s Ace Hardware in Ellicott City, MD, held a Father’s Day event on Sunday, June 5 that featured fun activities for the whole family including white aprons embroidering with “Dad” in red for kids to decorate.

Items including aprons and art supplies were available for purchase to families for $15 on the day of the event. Templates with easy, child-friendly drawings were provided on tables to help get the kid’s creative juices flowing. Clark’s Ace Hardware also ensured items such as water-resistant paint pens, fading and abrasion were available for use for the children to complete their Father’s Day gifts.

While kids were able to decorate their aprons for Father’s Day, parents had the ability to shop distraction-free for an array of extra gift ideas including grilling necessities like BBQ sauces, BBQ spices, grilling tools, gift cards, and new grills.

Clark’s Ace Hardware, a local, family-owned store in business for 175 years, currently has approximately 20 aprons and markers left for sale in the store while supplies last.

Ace Hardware is the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the world with more than 5,600 locally owned and operated hardware stores in approximately 70 countries.

Headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., Ace and its subsidiaries operate an expansive network of distribution centers in the U.S. and have distribution capabilities in Ningbo, China; Colon, Panama; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
